Delirium Tremens was launched on 26 December 1989. The beer uses three different yeasts and is packaged in a bottle that is painted to resemble cologne ceramics. The label exemplifies different phases of the production of "Delirium Tremens" and that the "Pink Elephant" was up and ready to conquer the world. Delirium Tremens was named as "Best Beer in the World" in 1998 at the World Beer Championships in Chicago, Illinois, USA. 8.5% ABV

growing details The 2009 vintage in gave us excellent quality grapes and remarkable wines.  The summer was relatively cool with one major heat spike in July.  The moderate temperatures of August continued into September.  Overall, most varieties had larger than normal cluster weights and above average yields. Harvest began slightly later than is typical for most varieties. maturation After gently crushing the grapes, the must was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.  The wine underwent malolactic fermentation to develop a creamy, full mouth feel. Finally, the wine was aged with French oak to add notes of sweet oak spice.  tasting notes Bold and spicy, the 2009 Shiraz offers bright red berry and bramble characters on the nose. Layers of blueberry, blackberry and cocoa, accented with violet and spice, fill the expansive aromas and plush flavors.  The wines full tannins are nicely balanced by bright acidity and a lingering finish.  food pairings You need not be timid with our Shiraz, pair it with smoky barbecued meats and poultry, spicy grilled sausages and roasted meats and stews.  The round, full flavors also match deliciously with pasta tossed with any an earthy porcini mushroom sauce.

Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance.

Typically most whiskies are chill-filtered and reduced to a strength of 40% ABV. Ardbeg Ten Years Old, however, is non chill-filtered and has a strength of 46% ABV, thus retaining maximum flavour, at the same time giving more body and added depth. It’s whisky with none of the goodness taken out!
